2022 Odyssey Re Latin America & Caribbean Cocktail

Dear friends of OdysseyRe,

After careful consideration and with the increasing infection of the Omicron variant in mind, we regret to inform you that Odyssey Re’s annual cocktail at the Biltmore will be postponed to next year. Indeed, with many of you expressing concerns about the community transmission rate in Florida being higher and higher, now at 448k cases within the last 7 days, we believe that this is the best decision for the safety of all.

Please note that the 2022 Miami Reinsurance Golf Event hosted by Scor, OdysseyRe and TransRe will still carry on Wednesday February 16, 2022 at the Biltmore.

Since we will not get the pleasure of spending quality time with all of you at our Cocktail party this year, if you still plan to travel / be in Miami for the Reinsurance week, please let us know, as we would like to meet with you.

The 2022 Miami (re) insurance Week is the most important Miami networking week of the year for the Latin American Insurance Industry.

Miami has become a (re) insurance hub for Latin America. It hosts the regional headquarters of many (re) insurance carriers and brokers and and also Lloyd’s of London.

Miami has also become a preferred destination for Latin American clients that go on roadshows given the language capabilities and cultural affinity with the region.

During the 2022 Miami Insurance Week, insurance professionals from different countries travel to Miami in order to participate in insurance seminars, golf tournaments, cocktails, meetings and other insurance related events.

If you check the 2022 February month iNLIP calendar you will see almost all of the 2022 Miami Insurance Week events.

Those firms are mindful of the developing situation with COVID-19 and they will continue to monitor public health guidance closely.

For updates, please check the calendar every week so that you can develop your plans accordingly.
