Forces of Change: A New Chapter of Insurance
The Various Forces Driving Change will be the Focus of Executives Attending the Latin American Conference
As new technologies and evolving customer expectations continue to disrupt new and traditional channel development, executives from life insurance and financial services companies operating in Latin America will meet in Panama to discuss these challenges and more at the 2023 LIMRA LOMA Latin American Conference this August 15 -17. Attendees will also exchange ideas for using these new technologies to better connect with the consumer, as well as strategies for successfully preparing their operations for future trends in talent management, underwriting, and retirement products.
The overall conference program, notably designed by a committee chaired by Tony Eleta, general manager at Pan-American Life Insurance in Panama, revolves around a theme that addresses recent and future forces of change that have impacted and will continue to impact the life insurance industry. “This is the most important Conference for executives responsible for life insurance companies operating within Latin America, and we are excited to finally be bringing it to Panama for the first time in its 50+ year history” said Eleta.
When asked what countries like Panama can do to boost the industry, Alberto Carlos Vásquez Reyes, the Superintendent at Superintendencia de Seguros y Reaseguros de Panamá (SSRP) said, “The expectations of both companies and consumers have changed in recent years. In a post-Covid era, it is important more than ever to understand the insurance landscape and plan strategies generating innovative initiatives, oriented towards a business culture that allows them to develop, while providing support and financial security to as many people as possible.” Vásquez will also be delivering opening remarking on the first morning of the conference to provide further details on the state of the industry in Panama and around Latin America.
Attendees of the 2023 LIMRA LOMA Latin American Conference can expect presentations on the future of life insurance in highly innovative markets, strategies for success in a rapidly changing business environment, the impact of artificial intelligence on traditional channels, and insights on how to best identify and meet the needs of today’s customer. In addition to general sessions and panel discussions, there will also be an abundance of key networking and one-one-one meeting opportunities, to continue the conversation about how to improve and promote new industry initiatives.
