Swiss Re Corporate Solutions appoints Angelo Colombo as CEO Latin America Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, effective 7 October 2019.
In this role, Mr. Colombo will be responsible for managing the company’s commercial insurance business in Latin America. He will also oversee Swiss Re Corporate Solutions México Seguros S.A. de C.V.; Compañía Aseguradora de Fianzas S.A. Confianza (“Confianza”), the joint venture between Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Ltd and Seguros Confianza; and Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Brasil Seguros S.A., the joint venture between Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Ltd and Bradesco Seguros S.A., a company controlled by Banco Bradesco S.A.

He’s well-connected in the local market and truly understands the risk management challenges that companies there are facing,” states Andreas Berger, CEO Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.
Mr. Colombo succeeds Axel Brohm, who has been appointed Head of Actuarial and Data Science Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and will work with Mr. Colombo to ensure a smooth transition.
“I would also like to thank Axel for his contributions over the past three years,” Mr. Berger continued. “Under his leadership, we closed the joint venture with Bradesco Seguros, obtained a direct insurance license in Mexico and expanded our regional offering to help even more customers in Latin America protect their businesses.”
An industry veteran with more than twenty years of experience, Mr. Colombo has held numerous leadership positions of increasing responsibility within the Latin American commercial insurance market. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering from Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo and a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in Sao Paulo, Brazil. A Brazilian national, Mr. Colombo speaks Portuguese, Spanish and English.
Swiss Re Corporate Solutions serves clients and brokers throughout Latin America from offices in Bogotá, Cali, Medellin, Mexico City, Miami, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.
Mr. Colombo’s appointment is subject to approval by the relevant authorities.
