The CEOs of the RTS Group visited São Paulo and Mexico City to learn first-hand how the Brazilian and Mexican insurance markets and economies are faring, the challenges they face and their requirements.
Besides visiting the Group’s offices in both cities and holding several internal meetings with employees, the CEOs also participated in the seminars RTS organised with the most important professionals in the insurance sector in both countries.
Luis Pérez Arnáu, José Caraballo and Manuel Torres, chief executive officers of RTS International Loss Adjusters, an international business that has focused on claims management and loss adjusting since 1989 with offices in Spain, Portugal and Latin America, have been on their annual corporate trip, this time to Brazil and Mexico.
The CEOs of the RTS Group visited these countries to learn first-hand how the Brazilian and Mexican insurance markets and economies are faring, the challenges they face and their requirements. This trip is the result of the group’s interest in both markets where RTS, as part of its strategic plan and the increasing importance of Latin America and Mexico, has already consolidated its presence.
During their visit, the CEOs held meetings with some of the main insurance companies, brokers and professionals in the insurance market to outline the group’s exponential growth with a network of its own offices in Latin America and several associated offices.
Besides holding several internal meetings with employees and Juan Miguel Álvarez, RTS director in Mexico, and Leonardo Duarte, RTS director in Brazil, the CEOs took part in the seminars the RTS Group organised for the insurance sector in both countries. Juan Guillermo Uribe and Sancho Azevedo, Regional RTS Directors, were also present.
The many insurance professionals that attended the seminar held by RTS International Loss Adjusters in Mexico had the opportunity to listen to talks given by Edmundo Hernández Sánchez, Claims Director at AON Risk Solutions, Eduardo Reinoso Angulo, Director and founding partner of ERN, and Manuel García Pimentel Caraza, partner of García Pimentel. A variety of topics was discussed at the event, including the lessons learned after the earthquake in September 2017.
There were four exceptional speakers at the seminar in São Paulo: Roberto Hernández, CCO of Zurich Brasil, Maurício Szpiz, claims manager from Swiss Re, and Fabio Torres, partner of TM LAW and Kennedys, analysed the Brazilian reinsurance market and gave their views on several of the country’s claims aspects. Ana Fornells, economic and business advisor at the Spanish Embassy in São Paulo, contributed her knowledge on the relationships between the two regions and the role the insurance market plays in the Brazilian economy.
Besides offering its RTS services to the insurance market, RTSIS and IST, companies in the Group, are also present in both countries to consolidate its portfolio. RTSIS is a company specialised in adjusting frequent losses, comprehensive claims management and document management.
