The Engineering School of Mechanics and Materials of FIU (Florida International University), through the Advance Institute for Material Engineering, has announced the formation of its Advance Materials Engineering Research Institute (AMERI) and has invited Eng. José Miguel Varela (ADVANTA’s Regional Director (LatAm & Carribean) to be a part of their Board of Advisors.
The purpose of the Advance Materials Engineering Research Institute is to enable the development of future technologies by combining open-access and state-of-the-art analytical/fabrication tools with innovative research ideas from award winning faculties and industries in South Florida and internationally.
The board of External Advisors has a mission to create an effective link through different industries where the Institute can have a positive impact using technology, science and investigation.
