Offering an up-to-date view of the global insurance industry’s priorities and trends is one of the objectives of Insurance Global Trend, one of four panel discussions that will make up the main schedule of FIDES Rio 2023.
This conference, organized by Brazil’s National Confederation of Insurers (CNseg), will bring together insurance industry organizations from the Americas and the Iberian Peninsula between September 24 and 26, 2023, at the Windsor Convention & Hotel Center in Rio de Janeiro, to explore a broad business agenda and to discuss trends and transformations in the global insurance market.
Insurance Global Trend, which will also discuss the repercussions of new technologies and industry innovations as part of the sustainability agenda, will have six internationally renowned speakers: André Medici, an economist and international consultant at the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank and United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs; Clarisse Kopff, Munich Re board member; Daniel Castillo, underwriting vice president at IRB (Re); Isabelle Santenac, global insurance leader at EY; Ivan Luiz Gontijo Jr., CEO of Bradesco Seguros S/A; and Jeremy Goodman, global head of brokerage strategies and president of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions in the United Kingdom.
The FIDES Western Hemisphere Insurance Conference is held every two years by the Inter-American Federation of Insurance Companies (FIDES), a nonprofit umbrella organization for private insurance trade associations in 20 countries, including CNseg (one of its founders) in Brazil. This edition, the event will also feature keynotes speakers Luis Alberto Moreno, former president of the Inter-American Development Bank; and Paul Krugman, who won the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 2008.
